Ever since I can remember I have had a fascination for glass blowing and the mesmerizing process of creating tangible objects out of molten glass.

My first experience with melting glass in a flame was incredible and opened my eyes to a whole new world of creativity. Yeah, I'd dabbled in painting, drawing and ceramics in my art classes throughout my formal education, but this was different. This was a medium unlike any other that I'd ever experienced hands on. I was hooked, and haven't looked back since.

My experience with glass has changed the entire way I look at art and its possibilities. With glass as my medium, I've been able to truly express my creativity in a three-dimensional, functional way.

In 2003 I received a BS in Advertising from UT-Austin and began my journey as the owner of my glass jewelry company, Lindsay Designs. I've been working as a full-time glass artist since 2008 and feel very fortunate to be able to pursue my creative passion for a living.

Along with my passion for glass is my love of color and the unique patterns that color alone creates. I am influenced by modern and retro designs because of their bursts of color and patterns. I love to portray these patterns and designs in my work. I find inspiration everywhere – from fabric patterns, to magazines, to wallpaper designs, to even a rug in a room. Much of my inspiration also comes from understanding the color palette, which has been ingrained in me since I was a young girl in art class.
